All Hat and No Cattle

Palin's campaign wardrobe has come to $150,000 since 9/4/08. I'd say that's All Hat and No Cattle, wouldn't you? Now, get a load of this:

Per Daily Kos, reported on October 21, 2008

Barack has had to resole his shoes during the campaign. That probably ran him, what? $10 - $50 bucks? Hmmmmmm. "Senator Obama was doing press interviews by telephone in a holding room between events. Sometime later as he was getting ready to begin his event, he asked me if I was photographing his shoes. When I said yes, he told me that he had already had them resoled once since he entered the race a year earlier. Providence, R.I., 3/1/2008." Great photos of his shoes and lots of other campaignin' stuff: http://digitaljournalist.org/issue0810/callie-bp.html

And, of course, we were lucky enough to have historical records. McCain quote from '93:
"The Amendment before The Senate is a very simple one. It restricts the use of campaign funds for inherently personal purposes. The Amendment would restrict individuals from using campaign funds for such things as home mortgage payments, clothing purchases, etc. If we are truly going to have campaign finance reform I do not believe that campaign funds should be used for such things as country club dues and tuxedos.. If we in Congress learned on thing from President Clinton's $200 haircut last week, it should be that the public does not approve of its elected officials being treated as royalty. We should be no different." End McCain Quote
. AND IN '94...McCain quote:
"Campaign fund have been used to buy such items as a Jumb Illuminated Globe from Hammacher Schlemmer, for trips to exotic locals such as Thailand, Taiwan and Italy, and for tuxedos and an unexplainable $299 for bow ties." End McCain Quote #2.
If the Palin wardrobe malfunction wasn't bad enough, it turns out the Republicans sure know how to spend our money. Go ahead, you know you're dying to ask. Who was the highest paid individual in Senator John McCain's presidential campaign during the first half of October as it headed down the homestretch? Not Randy Scheunemann, Mr. McCain's chief foreign policy adviser; not Nicolle Wallace, his senior communications staff member.

It was Amy Strozzi, who was identified by the Washington Post this week as Gov. Sarah Palin's traveling makeup artist, according to a new filing with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday night. Ms. Strozzi, who was nominated for an Emmy award for her makeup work on the television show "So You Think You Can Dance?", was paid $22,800 for the first two weeks of October alone, according to the records.

I've been an agent for a decade and a half. A makeup artist does not need to cost that much money for ANYONE, let alone the gorgeous and photogenic Sarah Palin.

Memo To Still President Team

FROM: RESPECTFUL REPUBLICANS
DATE: October 22, 2008
RE: MCCAIN DEFAME CAMPAIGN
TO: Still President Team

Desperate Times?

Well, that's how it would seem to be playing out for your Palin/McCain campaign. Per Chris Mathews of Hardball, "Every time conditions prevail, that is the current status of things causes McCain's poll numbers to dwindle, McCain cancels, curses, fires, stoops, postpones, distracts, and starts making wild accusations. That is to say, he pulls a 'razzle dazzle,' 'hail mary,' 'bootleg,' 'statue of liberty' play in a scattered move to distract the public from the real issues."

Instead of talking about cleaning up the mess that the current administration -- THAT MEANS YOU MCCAIN, AND YOU TOO GEORGE -- instead of showing us all some sort of Brave New Deal, Cheney you're hiding, Bush is trying to figure out where the ball rolled behind the couch, and Rov is calling the game off. And your love child, the not-so-honorable Senator John McCain is telling the American people "Hey! Look over there!"

As you've probably heard by now, dear Frank, chairman of the Financial Services Committee said, "McCain's trying to pull the longest 'Hail Mary' in the history of either football or Marys."

Last week on Bloomberg News, Chris Buckley, son of William F. Buckley (the recently departed -- God Rest His Blessed Soul), was being interviewed about his new book, "Supreme Courtship." When asked about McCain's name calling and terrorist accusations, he replied, "It's gone beyond saying a Hail Mary. He's saying the whole rosary!"

Name Calling. Inciting crowds to call for mob violence. Taking the Milf on a shopping spree. Saying one day that Obama is a decent family man, and the next calling him an elite, terrorist, socialist muslim.

Really, McCain? Don't you know there are Respectful Republicans out there?

Last night, Buckley made an appearance on the Daily Show where he was quote as saying, "I didn't leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me."

You know what, McCain? You're mother dresses you funny.

Right To Left

No time to do full analysis here, now. Suffice it to say, McCain is becoming the Elephant in the corner.

You just got nominated as the first GOP (F) VP.
What ya gonna do know? I'm going to Disneyland!!!

The Independent (UK)

Republican leaders break ranks with McCain
Senior members of the Republican party are in open mutiny against John McCain's presidential campaign, after a disastrous period which has seen Barack Obama solidify his lead in the opinion polls.

From inside and outside his inner circle, Mr McCain is being told to settle on a coherent economic message and to tone down attacks on his rival which have sometimes whipped up a mob-like atmosphere at Republican rallies.

Two former rivals for the party nomination, Mitt Romney and Tommy Thompson, went on the record over the weekend about the disarray in the Republican camp. And a string of other senior party figures said Mr McCain's erratic performance risks taking the party down to heavy losses not just in the presidential race but also in contests for Congressional seats. Mr Thompson, a former governor of the swing state of Wisconsin, said he thought Mr McCain, on his present trajectory, would lose the state, and he told a New York Times reporter he was not happy with the campaign. "I don't know who is," he added. Some Republicans seeking election to Congress have begun distancing themselves from Mr McCain.

In Nebraska, a Republican representative, Lee Terry, ran a newspaper ad featuring support from a woman who called herself an "Obama-Terry voter". With just over three weeks to go to election day, a new Reuters/Zogby tracking poll showed the Democratic candidate gaining momentum during the past week. From a two-point lead four days ago, the latest reading has Mr Obama up 6 points. A Gallup poll yesterday put him at plus-7 per cent.

Senior Republicans have sharply conflicting views about the direction the McCain campaign should take, with some arguing that their candidate has not hit Mr Obama hard enough on the shady associates from his past. The issue of the Rev Jeremiah Wright, Mr Obama's former pastor, whose incendiary speeches about white racism almost derailed the Democrat's primary race, should be brought back on to the table by Mr McCain, many are counselling. Mr McCain, however, has ruled that issue off-limits, for fear of being accused of playing a race card.

Reining in the party's supporters may be hard. A minister delivering the invocation at a rally on Saturday asked Christians to pray for a McCain win. "There are millions of people around this world praying to their god – whether it's Hindu, Buddha, Allah – that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons," said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport. (Of course Hindu is not a God, its a religion. Hmmph)

The press was quoting one Congressman today who compared McCain to the late Alabama segregationist George Wallace. "Senator McCain and Governor Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division," he said. "George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights."

From The Christian Portal

Our web site went down. They were THREE different web sites linked tenuously together, and oddly enough, ALL THREE went down at the same time. As a result, we had a little time to kill today at 'The Buck Stops Here' headquarters. The following was gathered from Politico, MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show, The Christian Portal (Shout out), and the web site for the very religious Sarah Palin's Wasilla Bible Church. Let me introduce you...

The faith journey of Sarah Palin is that of a 'Bible-believing Christian.'

The explicitly nondenominational Wasilla Bible Church was started more than 30 years ago by a small group of families. The word "Bible" was included in the church's name to reflect the Scripture's centrality in the lives of Christians, says pastor Larry Kroon. In interpreting the Bible, he says, "we try to get at the author's intent" by considering the text as well as its history and structure. (Really? Interpreting the Torah? Now, that's a jewish to do, isn't it?) Sarah Palin was quoted as saying to the The Weekly Standard who reports that Reporters ask whether Palin has ever spoken in tongues. Her spokeswoman has said that Palin doesn't consider herself a Pentecostal. (I guess speaking in tongues is just a Pentecostal thing. Who knew?) A friend of Palin's told the New York Times that her family left Wasilla Assembly of God for Wasilla Bible in part because the latter's ministry was "less extreme." Exactly what Palin may have found "extreme" at Wasilla Assembly of God is unclear.

In any case, Palin retains an evident affection for Wasilla Assembly of God, as does the church for her. So much, they kept a record.

Video of Wasilla Assembly of God: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl4HIc-yfgM

Countdown on MSNBC with video of Wasilla's Former Mayor's Favorite Pastor's Witch hunt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biP3Wdd7PRI

Rachel Maddow Show with video of Palin's Fairy Godmother praying that Christians take the banking industry from the Jewish Israelites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7-qzz8_7RE God's judgement on the Jews, for not believing in Christ, is well documented (downloadable in MP3 form, in fact) in a sermon by David Brickner at Wasilla Bible Church from August 17th, 2008. That's right. This year. Hear the sermon yourself at: http://wasillabible.org/sermons.htm They explain clearly why "God called for the destruction of Israel, and why it's important that Jews accept this reality and ask God for forgiveness". The sermon, popularly known as "The Jerusalem Dilemma," covers how "stiff-necked jews practice a great deal of mysticism within the Jew's Israeli communities found in the Upper Galilee area". The preparation for the campaign to fight this behavior was presented as "well under way and part of an overall 6 year program". One of their young bible christians, Isaac, reports on the status of the evangelistic campaign and this one young man's recent trip to Israel. This church's second crusade ministry will "include the areas of Tiberius and Svatz" (spelling?). They are focusing on those cities because they "have found a bedrock of mysticism and occult behaviors among the Jewish community there." He described the seminars that were held during the first year's crusade "to work with the non believing Jews," and how it was really "helping him deal with his own non believing Jewish family." The Bible Church's presentation added that "it was important for this mission to be enacted corporately as well as individually" and that by converting these Jews "there would be alot of opportunity." (What does that mean?) They discuss how to equip the youth of the Church to "minister to Jews, share the gospel, and get those The Jews to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior." According to church's pastor "God had to book Brickner for this speech three (3) years ahead of time because his schedule was that full". Hmmmm.God bless technology.

Shout out to my mother, who like the teacher Sarah mentioned during the Vice Presidential debate, also taught 3rd grade elementary school. Except she taught it in Compton, and as a child, many, many years ago, I marched with her in protest, like people did in the 60's, during the well documented Compton Union Teacher's Strike. I don't know if it could be found, but I showed up on the front of the Los Angeles Times, carrying the little sign that read, "Power To The Children." -- True Story (of course my mother keeps her computer in the box it came in because she doesn't want it to get dusty, so she'll probably never see this. Love you, Mom.)

Uncovering Googlegate: McCain Wants My Money. How Mcain hijacked The Google and The Message during the U.S.A. Elections '08

It's a trick. It's a trick on Google.

It's a trick that works like this:

You think you are going to the most trusted & preferred site for searches, Google. You're looking for when the next Presidential Debate is, so you go to Google. As we all know, on Google you can look up information on any particular subject and it instantly takes you to the answer.

This is just like when Captain Kirk would call out and ask the ship's computer a question, only you kinda have to do some typing. How amazing it is to live in this age of information.

Just one thing. The first link that comes up on the page sends you directly to give McCain money. There is no info about any debates on that page. None. (See screen capture upper left)

"Next Presidential Debate" = Make A Contribution in the world APalin

You're expecting a listing of links that can answer your question, but disguised as the first listing on the page is a link that takes you to that ad for McCain. In fact, this fake ad that looks like a Google Listing with answers, is at the top of a lot of Google Site Search Pages. See where it sends you in person:
http://www.mccainpalinvictory2008.com/landing/landing_v1.htm?sid=google&t=jfc

Notice, McCain's campaign refers to this link inhouse as McCainPalinVictoryGoogleLanding.

Nothing on that page in any way tells you about any debate, past, present or future. You were flying around free on the information superhighway, and he hijacked the plane and brought you in for a "landing" directly into the middle of his bank account.

I can't believe I'm seeing this. I'm taking a big deep breath. Annoying, he is.

He can buy Google, which it could easily be argued is a monopoly. He can make Google funnel money to him all day. But, he can't buy us. He can't buy us. He Can't Buy Me!

Hijacking the Internet, The Google, The Information Superhighway is surely the worst form of domestic terrorism. So bad in fact, even the bad guys hadn't thought of it. Until now.

Today I went to get cash off my credit cards. I had been charging with them, that still worked. My Wamu card didn't of course. But, and I hope you're sitting down, on all of the 11 cards I tried to get cash off of, every one said Inelligible Transaction. not Invalid Pin, not Insufficient Funds, just Inelligible Transaction. Gulp.

Carl Rove, damn you. Damn you to hell!@!! I'm gonna go cry now.
------------------------------------------
GOOGLE PAGE LISTING WHEN YOU TYPE IN "NEXT PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE" (see for yourself -- http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=next+presidential+debate
----------------------------------------------
Link in the ad that looks like a google listing on the top of that page:
http://www.mccainpalinvictory2008.com/landing/landing_v1.htm?sid=google&t=jfc
----------------------------------------------------
And now your through the looking glass.

In an effort to fulfill equal time obligations, Barack has an ad too.

His is always clearly listed like an ad should be on the right side of the Google page. See: http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/im43?source=sem-lb-google-deb-debterm-search-swt&gclid=CJOwnKOlmZYCFRs-awody06W7Q If you go to his ad, you are treated to a clip of a debate and offered all debates on video to be sent to you for free. He doesn't even mention donating on the page the ad sends you to. He offers information.

Look for yourself. Make your own conclusions.

Get your Google on. And then go vote.

A Poll Walked Into A Bar

Must not sleep. Must process what I saw. Must go on.

People, those who know much more than I about history, say this is the most important time in the history of time. Seriously. They even have a chart.

Link you will have to cut, paste & piece together:

http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=most+important+time+in&scoring=t&hl=en&um=1&sa=N&lnav=dt

...or you could just trust me. It starts at 4000 BC, goes until 2008 AD, and it shows this is actually the most important time, when they take all factors into account, since humans have started keeping track of history, and in fact, since long before then.

Must drink more coffee, must shake off the fog. You can sleep in November. Open a window, let in some cold air, wake up, get your eagle on.

Issues they did not bring up in the debate:

Abortion
Morning After Pill
Violence Against Women Act
Rick Davis
McCain's record with vets
Polar Bears
Troopergate
The incredible
economic collapse happening worldwide

Our other notes from the debate...
She was lovely and all, yeah, but I have to say, "Thanks, but no thanks for the MILF from nowhere." We are still talking Sarah Palin here who got a "D" in macroeconomics from one of the 7 colleges she attended before she managed to get a degree. God Bless her though, she's not a quiter.

The BBC reported she lost. Israeli News says Biden won. French AP says Biden won. So I'm going with, Biden won. For more details, sources and links, go to our cousin website.

Don't worry folks. We are fighting the good fight here. She might be able to bob and weave, but if you watched CSPAN afterwards, she wasn't all that sure how well she did. You could see it on her face as she chatted with relatives and stood at the feet of Joe Biden while he engaged her in talking about their sons.

Most important thing I can focus on, as my sight has gotten rather blurry with these marathon computer sessions, is that 71% of the uncommitted voters out there were reported as still uncommitted after this debate. That's the only Poll numbers I'm paying attention to, and that's the only job I'm gonna focus on. Although, you should know, that the BBC Poll shows that Democrats are registering voters at a rate of 50 to 1 compared to Republicans. 50 TO 1. Now, the question is, will these first time younger voters show up to the polls. The only polls that really matter.

To that end, we have put together a web page to do just that job
http://www.palincomparisonblog.com/OBiden.html

at If The Buck Stops Here, Shoot It.com. We have incredible, breathtaking pictures there, a few new articles worth noting, and tons more, so please take advantage of it. It is our sincere hope that our O'Biden page will be helpful in properly introducing The Fellas to any uncommitted soul that stumbles in.

Let's get 'em registered, and on that gorgeous day in November, crisp as it will be, let's wake 'em up, pick 'em up, and wheel them in. We are gonna take our country back folks! Yes, we are!

Ok, now I'm awake.

P.S. for S.P.

Why we are so exhausted...Our Historic Two Weeks.

Its been going so fast and furious that many of us may not really know what it is that makes us feel so drained right now. Alot of us have fought in campaigns before, but this seems like more than the usual 4th quarter blues.

Well, I gave it some thought. Let's review.

I think it is safe to say that the Democratic party was generally happy and energized after their convention. Glowing, crying, hopeful.

Almost immediately after, Gustav was brewing out in the Caribbean and had already killed some people. The storm was bearing in on the coast of the U.S. and millions were evacuated. You couldn't be human, or part of the movement to elect Obama, if you didn't identify with all the unfortunate people that had to pack up, leave, and spend money just to find a space to sleep, find gas, etc.

Then, with that low lying anxiety, and with Ike on the way, Bush jumped out of the circle and ran to Texas as the Republican convention started to "oversee things from there." We were robbed of our ability to see the incumbent standing next to one of his biggest supporters, proving to everyone watching that McCain would be more of the same.

Instead, we got a surprise distraction and a rollercoaster ride. An unprecedented number of people started very actively arguing about politics. It wasn't a fair fight. They're shorter, so there were alot of low blows.

Then the nation watched as Ike began to bear down. Barack canceled what was to be his Saturday Night Live appearance. (Now that just wasn't fair! I was really looking forward to that). But it was o.k., we were doing the right thing. Ike was on its way and, in a rare natural metaphor, was the size of Texas. No matter where it hit the U.S., work was going to have to be done to help alot of people.

No details needed. Wipeout. Same time, Palin was doing her press junket, shaking hands, and making friends. Miraculously, the other team seemed to start to take the lead.

Last weekend was sleepless for alot of us. I don't know about you guys, but at this point I was glued to my computer, reassuring friends the polls were going to prove wrong, feeling it in my gut, which was also full of coffee and fast food.

Monday morning we woke to the news that Wall Street had lost two of its major brokerage firms. Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy after the government refused to bail it out, and Merrill Lynch employees bit their nails.

Barack had to swat some flies away (literally and figuratively), but the tables were turning.

Then, Bank of America bought Merril Lynch in a quickee deal and the stock market responded with a huge sell off, down 504 points for the day. There were fears about Washington Mutual, Morgan Stanley and other firms, so financial stocks tanked. Markets around the world took a beating. If you didn't know, trust me, we really wiped out everybody. Some of the markets weren't even able to reopen. AIG was on the precipice, looking out over the lemming Lehman's below, and they are huge in almost every world market, so this was going to be bad. If you watched the BBC, or any other major world news agency, THEY used the words 'earthquake, The Great Depression, Black Tuesday, and devastating emergency' to describe what was happening everywhere. I actually made the mistake of tivoing some shows from Fox News to get the other perspective and boy, there is no way for me to get those hours back.

But we rallied. We picked up. We really did folks. The more she spoke, the stupider she sounded. The more McCain spoke, the more he got things wrong in a pretty visible way. What went up, was starting to go down. Who had time for lipstick, when the house was on fire?

First, those who cared (wearing both red and blue) sat around a big table in Washington and someone said something, and someone else agreed, and someone took out a checkbook.

*The federal government jumped in Tuesday night and bailed out AIG to the tune of an $85 billion loan.
*The FCC put a ban on shortselling.
*The world's central banks took action, injecting $180 billion into the financial system to stem the losses.
*The market rallied, bounced, went back up.
*Even the government's #1 Deregulator was screaming for regulation!

So if you feel exhausted, it's not the election, it's not this fight we are in. Its all the unbelievable distractions, regrettable as they were, that hit the world the last two weeks.

Good news?

1. Their numbers are down, ours are up.

2. The judge in the Cheney lawsuit ordered Cheney to preserve a wide range of the records from his time as vice president. Oh, you didn't know he had a lawsuit against him? Well, the lawsuit alleges that the Bush administration's actions over the past 7 1/2 years raise questions over whether the White House will turn over records created by Cheney and his staff to the National Archives in January. And Cheney lost.

3. Alaska's state Senator Hollis French said the retired prosecutor hired by the Alaska Legislature to investigate Palin (aka Troopergate), Stephen Branchflower, will conclude his investigation by Oct. 10. So they aren't giving up. And it will be in time for the election.

4. The other team's lies are getting so transparent that incredible people like that female reporter on FOX, Carl Rove, and even Hardball has to call them out on it, daily.

Bottom line, this is where we stand,

COSTS OVER THIS LAST YEAR
Status: Inflation up 5.4%
Average Salaries: Down 3.3%
Gasoline: Up 35.6%
Household Energy costs: Up 17.3%
Food: Up 7.5%

Its bad, but not unfixable. We will have alot of work to do, but we'll have to do it from the Oval Office.

So, take a deep breath.... Right now. Breathe in, and then out.

Make a bubble bath, catch a rerun of The Daily Show from their website, catch a sunset, or see the funny short: 'Its time for some campaignin'

Funny no matter what side you are on.
http://www.peteyandpetunia.com/VoteHere/VoteHere.htm

Then remember why we're doing this. If you haven't already, see:
You Made Me Love You Obama!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW19otZgxY8

Get some yogurt to settle your stomach, splurge and let yourself have some chocolate, and take just a second to rejuvenate.

and then....LET'S GET OUT THERE AND GET 'EM.

We will do it by registering MORE voters! http://my.barackobama.com/vfc

We will do it by making the right points with our messages:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJThPjvscFs

We will do it by making people aware of Barack's actual financial plan: http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/economyplan

We will do it because WE CAN!

Carl Rove's Underwear is Showing aka Troopergate? What Troopergate?

If you've been following Troopergate although now it would appear Palin has swept it under the rug (no sexist housewife slur intended), then you might be interested in the dusty press release we found from 2006 sent out by Palin about Monegan (the guy she actually fired). Since we can't seem to get a straight answer as to why she "fired" him, at least we can see in her own words, why she "hired" him.

Palin Cabinet Begins to Take Shape
Governor-Elect Announces Commissioners of Natural Resources, Public Safety, Corrections

Anchorage – November 28, 2006 - Governor-Elect Sarah Palin today announced the first three members of her cabinet. Former Anchorage Police Chief Walt Monegan will serve as Department of Public Safety Commissioner, longtime corrections superintendent Joe Schmidt was named Commissioner of the Department of Corrections and former DNR Deputy Commissioner Marty Rutherfor d will take over the top job at the Department of Natur al Resources and will serve as interim Commissioner.

“I’m proud to count these Alaskans among my most trusted advisors,” said Palin. “Each one has a proven track record of success and an unwavering dedication to Alaska.”

This is verbatim. This is, as of this moment, still posted on Governor Palin's original campaign site from that time period:

The Day That Shook The World

September 16, 2008 -- It started with McCain saying something like, "The fundamentals of the U.S. Economy are strong."

Meanwhile people started to walk around and photograph all the damage from the storm before. Texas and many, many others were whiped out. So much to figure out: aide (first responders didn't have support, or water or food or supplies), how to rebuild, how to clean up the toxic mess that would no doubt be left behind. Get water pressure going, how to get a meal, power, clothes, shoes, help, phones, a place to sleep. 30,000 people in shelters just in the Galveston area. And, of course, how would the oil industry be affected?

The fact that this storm was reported as "the size of Texas" got washed away along with the video of the huge surge of water. A storm that big, for anyone who has been paying attention, is a direct result of global warming.

Ms. Palin was reported on ABC as saying, “A changing environment will affect Alaska more than any other state, because of our location. I'm not one though who would attribute it to being man-made.”

On the same day that she said that on ABC, the Associated Press (AP) wrote "Palin opposes the Bush administration's decision to list polar bears as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act." You'd think everyone had seen the images of the bears bearly able to cling onto ice chunks, exhausted, beautiful and sad. Apparently, that was under her radar.

And now the global warming was really going to go global.

The levies, the regulatory agencies and policies and laws of the U.S. that HAD been placed there to protect its citizens from another Black Tuesday (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_tuesday), failed. With no regulations on speculation, and no oversight on companies that ran boiler rooms of phone sales agents selling fraudulant low interest loans, it was just a matter of time. Then it started. The wave that would shake the world. Floreclosures, banks closing, people fired, more people fired, more people fired, and then...Lehman Brothers. On the BBC they said it felt like an earthquake hit London. It was a Monday, so much of the rest of the world was on holiday.

Then came today. And AIG started to wobble on its feet. Much larger than Lehman, for those who don't know. Japan, ouch, India, oy, England, oh my, and all of the rest of the world -- body blow, body blow, body blow. Their markets crumbled.

So it would appear that this would be an excellent time to remember we are all connected. As goes the US, there goes the world. So we have to get Roosevelt on their ass. Perhaps Biden can get some of the rest of the world to invest in our rebuilding of our infrastructure. It could provide millions of jobs, if we were to share the info we invent on energy reform and renewable options with green foreign investors who are willing to put dollars in our country, jobs in our towns, and food on the table. We are gonna need help here. And we might as well realize that the rest of world needs us as much as we need them. So to defeat McBush, we need to elevate the discussion to the beginnings of a worldwide plan to get out of this. Let's get Warren Buffet in on this. Let's get some of the best brains out there. Let's be our own FEMA, our own community organizers.

The Palin discussion can fade away to cocktail jokes about lipstick and comparisons to Cheney. Let her go. She's insignificant.

What could I do?

I'm broke. Like alot of people out there. So I decided to do what I could from home. After all, I have a computer.

So I built my first website:

www.TheSarahPalinPortal.com
for All Things Palin. If you haven't filled your need yet for being IMPAILED, please come check it out, surf the links, see the videos, and maybe even leave a comment of your own. So far I've had hits from all over the world, so I'm pretty proud.

But that wasn't enough...

So I made my first YOU TUBE video:
"She's Bringing Sexy Back" which you can find at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTPdCbyazp0

But that wasn't quite enough...

So I made my second YOU TUBE video:
"You Made Me Love You" starring our favorite, BO. Its a gift to Mr. Obama. I hope y'all like it. You can check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW19otZgxY8

I hope whoever reads this blog checks out my site and the videos and really likes them.

I hope you see the one I made for Obama and you like it and maybe even Pass It On.

A Word About Hicks: By My Friend Lee Abbott

THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO WWW.THESARAHPALINPORTAL.COM:

"You know you just nailed a good point by accident...

When John Melancamp was on Bill Maher, he talked about the people in "Small Town" America that he knows and loves who are being completely wiped out by the Republican Agenda...but who keep voting for it. Because they believe what they are told - because most of them are honest people themselves. They just aren't sophisticated enough to keep up with Carl Rove-ian lies and clever word play. They're not "dumb" ...they just haven't HAD to be so street smart in any other aspect of their life.

I care about these people too - most of my relatives are good, honest, "Hicks" (no offense to your word choice) who believe in God and Country. And somehow...the Republicans cornered that market. My relatives and parents are now struggling with the party, largely because my sister is gay, and in a long term relationship...and this has started the chink in the armor....when folks begin to have "them" in their family.

Now....my "Liberal" ideas...are starting to be seen for what they are - PROGRESSIVE. As I told my NASCAR fan family friend, "It would be like in racing when safety "regulations" were so looked down upon - but they've not only been good for the sport...but eventually led to safer cars on city streets." Or my NRA Uncle, "It's again like auto racing...Professionals on Controlled Race Tracks do have the "Right" to drive a Dragster - but on city streets we are regulated to abide by certain rules, must have a drivers licence, have taken Drivers education, 1st Driven with a permit, can have our licence revoked if we don't abide by the rules...etc. Gun Control - just means that guns should be taken as seriously as automobiles, and that you DO have a RIGHT to have an Uzi...if you're in the military or on a SWAT team."

Websites like yours illustrate the ridiculous. Republicans like to argue that Britney Spears sister getting pregnant makes her parents "Pinheads!" ...until Palin comes along and then it's a family "Choice" and they actually use that word...."Choice!" Well...many hockey moms and hicks can also get really really pissed when they realize they are getting lied to. Websites like yours are chinks in the armor of "Belief" and thus lead us all to "Knowledge"

Thanks"

Palin Former Chairman of Alaska's Oil & Gas Commission

Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that early in Palin's career she was The Chairman of Alaska's Oil and Gas Commission!?!? Not a member, The Chairman. And she's pro-drilling! REALLY Pro-Drilling. Listening to those at the Republican Convention chant "Drill, drill, drill" was both disconcerting and scary. Wouldn't it be right to assume she's in the pocket of big oil? Doesn't that make her one of the bad guys?

Why Isn't Obama Getting Angry?

Many of the pundits and bloggers out there are saying that Obama isn't outraged enough over the incredible Rovian tactics the Republicans are using against him. Well, I'm jewish, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and quote some scripture: "Blessed are the meak, for they shall inherit the earth." or something like that. I LOVE that Obama is calm. I LOVE that he looks at every situation as an opportunity to learn, grow, and become an even better problem solver. All this conjecture and screaming and warning on the part of the Republicans just make them out as a bunch of chicken littles to me. In order to have an INTELLIGENT leader who can solve our energy issues and the environmental issues facing the world today, we need to come to the table sober and even tempered. We need to be able to listen and incorporate a variety of ideas, instead of yelling, ignoring, firing, and sidelining those who don't agree with our current actions. Solving those energy and environmental problems will trickle down, or up, or sideways, however you want to put it, and help solve most, if not all, of our other problems like unemployment, our economy problems, health issues, food supplies, the reasons for Russia's war, the reason for our war in Iraq, etc. etc. He doesn't need to wave his arms and scream to be the best choice for President. Outrage, closeminded tactics, and old fashioned "western" ideals are what got us into this situation in the first place.
